Here are some pictures from 2014 when we stayed at a pub in Arnside for a couple of nights searching for different butterfles. We were lucky enough at breakfast to sit next to the Butterfly Recorder for Warwickshire and that morning he showed us the different butterflies that were up on the heights. High Brown Fritillary, Scotch Argus and Grayling – the first and only time we have seen them. None of them are competition standard as you can see and we keep meaning to return to take better ones but never have. It was a fantastic couple of days with great sunrises and sunsets. .
